On-Campus Housing Is a Suite Situation
Housing options at the St. Petersburg campus feature three suite-style buildings, Residence Hall One, the University Community Center and our new Residence Hall Three, which has its own dining hall and community kitchen. Residential Community Programs within each hall allow you to live with students who share similar majors, interests or identities – perfect for transfer students making new friends!
Dining Catered to Your Needs
If you have food allergies, the Allergen Solutions station in our residential dining room has special selections made from ingredients without common food allergens. There's also a special dietary request/food allergy form designed to accommodate you if you have specific allergies or dietary restrictions. Other dining options include The Reef, The Coral Café and The Bull Market Café. Our meal plan includes Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars embedded in your USF ID, simplifying the payment process.

Admissions Scholarships for Transfer Students
When you apply for admission by the designated Scholarship Deadline, the Office of Admissions will AUTOMATICALLY consider you for merit-based admissions scholarships for up to $5,000. There's nothing else you need to do to qualify.

Can I get into USF with a 2.5 GPA? ›
Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 as calculated by USF.
Is it hard to get in the University of South Florida? ›University of South Florida admissions is more selective with an acceptance rate of 49%. Half the applicants admitted to University of South Florida have an SAT score between 1140 and 1340 or an ACT score of 24 and 29.
Is it hard to get into USF as a transfer student? ›USF accepts 62.85% transfer applicants, which is competitive. To have a shot at transferring into USF, you should have a current GPA of at least 3.97 - ideally you're GPA will be around 4.13. In addition, you will need to submit standardized test scores. The below tables show the SAT and ACT breakdown of USF students.

The average GPA at USF is 3.97. This makes USF Extremely Competitive for GPAs. (Most schools use a weighted GPA out of 4.0, though some report an unweighted GPA. With a GPA of 3.97, USF requires you to be at the top of your class.
